WHO CAN DO THE TREK?

There are no particular age limits for Mount Rinjani climbers. As long as you are good in health status or you have seek approval from your doctor if you are on any medication. We have served hundred of climbers ranging from 10 years old to 87 years old.

However, we suggest young children to be at least 10 years old due to the numerous steps and steep slopes. Similarly, elderly climbers need to be in good health and fitness level to attempt the climb.

Make the climb to Mount Rinjani in need of a strong and healthy immune system. Therefore, before making the climb to mount rinjani you should perform warm up by walking or doing other activities.

ENVIRONMENT TIPS

BRING BACK A TRASH FROM THE MOUNTAIN RINJANI
Certainly not wise if you bring garbage to the mountain rinjani then you stay right away. Plan your trip to minimize waste by using trekking organizer who care about the environment at Mount Rinjani so be sure to bring back the garbage that you bring to the mountain Rinjani.

MAINTAIN CLEANLINESS OF LAKES AND HOT SPRINGS
Wash away from water sources to speak of water in a container. Soaps and detergents are harmful to creatures that live in the same water, pollute the environment around the lake and hotspring means you have inherited suffering to future generations.

CAMP CAREFULLY AND SAFELY
When camping, we have to respect his other visitors to leave no trace of your visit. after packing make sure no one else left trash.

KEEP TO THE TRACK
By keeping to the trail, you avoid trampling undergrowth and risking getting lost in the forest.

BURY TOILET WASTE
In areas without toilet facilities, bury your toilet waste in a shallow hole well away from waterways, tracts, campsites and shelter. Take care with fires. Portable fuel stoves are less harmful to the environment and are more efficient than fires. If you must use a fire, keep it small and make sure that the fire is out before leaving by dousing it with water and checking the ashes.

RESPECT CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE
Help protect the spiritual and historical significance of Mt. Rinjani by respecting our local culture. Conserve wildlife and plants of the National Park by not removing anything.

Walk quietly trough the forest so that you do not disturb the wildlife that you and others have come to see.

Best Time Hiking Rinjani Mountain
Rinjani is best trekking during the April-November dry season. The trekking trails are generally closed during the rainy season. In recent years the early months of the ‘dry season’ have become more prone to rain and you should be prepared to encounter heavy rain and low visibility with slippery tracks underfoot at any time, particularly in the afternoon.
It gets very cold on the mountain above 2,000 m and nears freezing at the summit. Warm clothing is an absolute must.

  First ever climb
It was really fun, not only was my Guide, Mr Antok being considerate, understanding and fun. He made sure of our well being throughout the whole climb. There was never a time where there was discomfort because he make sure we are always well taken care of.   Rinjani is a tough challenge and great experience for interested hikers!
We went for a 3D2N hike with Antok and team and they provided us with clean tents, sleeping bags, and delicious food on the mountains. Terrain was challenging and some parts were fun. The summit hike was extremely tough but the view is worth it once you are up there. Definitely a sight to see and great self accomplishment!!

Where to begin...what an all round amazing experience. From start to finish we felt looked after and had an unforgettable time. When we first arrived we were warmly greeted, before our tour even started the day before Antok took us to the waterfalls, a sunset point and so very kindly invited us to have a wonderful dinner with his family. We did the 3d2n treck and oh boy was it hard, but the kindness and knowledge of our guide (Herman) and porters was next to none, the incredibly hard work they do to make it possible for us to do this hike is incredible.   Amazing Pergasingan hill sunrise hike
I went with Anton on amazing sunrise hike to Pergasingan Hill. He prepared me breakfast before we left and brought snacks and water for the hike. We drove on motorbike from Senaru to Sembalun at 2am and started hiking in the dark with flashlights. We needed around 1,5 hours to the top and further to the sunrise spot. We were faster on our way back down. Pergasingan hill is good alternative if you are not prepared for Rinjani hike and the views are amazing. The path is steep in the beginning but it's not too long. Anton is really nice, kind, helpful guide and always taking care that the hike is safe. Thank you again!

  Waterfalls and Pergasingan Hill
Antok has been an amazing guide showing me around. We went to the waterfalls first and then on the 2D1N Pergasingan hill hiking. The view from the top was breathtaking and the trip was really well organised. Antok helped me a lot on the way down cause it can get a bit slippery. I highly recommend him as a guide 😊
